  • On Saturday, St. Bede competed in the inaugural Esports sectional tournament sanctioned by the IHSA.   13 teams from the north-central part of Illinois met at Guilford High School in Rockford to play Rocket League, Smash Bros., and NBA2K.    Gavin Sandoval and Paige Kraml competed in Smash Bros. Duo games, and William Chen competed in  Smash Bros. individual games.   Evan Fitzpatrick and Tommy Makransky competed in the NBA2K games.   Evan received a 3rd place ribbon, while Tommy placed first and will go on to the state finals tournament in Bloomington on Saturday, April 30th.

  • Thanks to all who contributed to our chosen charities during Lent.  We had one less week to collect and so we were a bit down, but results were:  Seniors $345; Juniors $278; Sophomores $474; Freshmen $1275; Faculty/Staff $130.  Tomorrow will report what was given to each charity.

  • Seniors: May 1st, National Decision Day, is fast approaching. You must accept your offer of college admission by this date or you will lose your spot.  You also need to notify all other colleges where you have been accepted so they know you will not be attending.

  • Congratulations to the Bruin Track Teams!  Girls placed 5th at the Princeton Ferris invite.  Leading the way were Ali Bosnich, Macy Zeglis, and Anna Lopez.  Ali was 2nd in the high jump and in the 400 and anchored on the 4 x 4 relay that placed 3rd.  Macy placed 2nd in the 200 hurdles and 3rd in the 100 hurdles and was member of the 4x100 and 4x400.  Both relays finished 3rd.  Anna placed 1st in the triple jump, 2nd in the long jump and anchored the 4x100 relay that finished 3rd.  Macklin Brady finished 2nd in the discus and 2nd in the throwers 100.  The 4x200 and the 4x800 each finished 3rd.  Boys finished 4th- Tyreke Fortney placed 2nd in the 200 and outsprinted the field to win the 200 which was the best race of the night. Stephen Shaver was 2nd in the 400 and tied for 2nd in the high jump with Duncan Lawler.  In the other great race of the night, Haden Arkins out kicked the field coming from 3rd place to help win the 4x800 relay.

  • Tomorrow Juniors will take the SAT juniors must follow DENNIS UNIFORM dress code, seniors go on the senior retreat, freshman & sophomore have remote learning.

  • Juniors: be in your testing room at 7:50 am, bring a valid picture ID, approved calculator, back-up calculator or extra batteries, see Ms. Bernabei or your math teacher if you are not sure if your calculator is approved. We will NOT have extra calculators to borrow on test day.  2-3 sharpened #2 wood pencils and a good eraser. Snacks will NOT be provided. This will be a long day of testing so please bring a sandwich or healthy snack to sustain you throughout this 4-5-hour test. Leave your cell phone, smart watch, Chromebook and all electronic devices in your car or locker!  Go to bed early tonight and eat a healthy breakfast in the morning so you can perform your best on this test!!
