Frequently Asked Questions
When is Saint Bede’s application deadline?
St. Bede Academy accepts applications on a rolling basis. Applications can be completed at the following link for the coming school year.
What is the cost to apply to St. Bede Academy?
Applications to St. Bede Academy are free of charge. Families are encouraged to apply early!
My student already took a placement test for another high school. Do they have to take a placement test for St. Bede Academy?
Not necessarily. If your student took the PSAT 8/9, those scores are eligible to be considered for their freshmen class placement. If they have not taken the PSAT 8/9, then they would take our placement exam before scheduling classes.
My child has never attended Catholic school or church. Are they eligible to attend St. Bede?
Yes. While St. Bede Academy is a Catholic, college preparatory school, students are not required to be Catholic to attend. Every student takes a religion class all 4 years, in which they learn about aspects of faith, morality, theology, and other aspects relative to Catholicism. We are proud of our monastic community and the impact they have on the lives of all our students.
What documents do I need for admission as a freshman to St. Bede?
Students applying to St. Bede Academy as freshmen need the following items:
2 completed digital recommendation forms, filled out by a principal or teacher who is not family to the applicant.
Completed PSAT 8/9 and subsequent course selection interview.
Is there any financial assistance for families?
Yes. There are a wide variety of grants, scholarships, and other forms of financial assistance available at www.st-bede.com/scholarships. St. Bede Academy uses the FACTS management system for payments and financial assistance. About 25-35% of students at St. Bede Academy receive some form of financial assistance. Do you accept transfer students after their freshman year?
Absolutely! Simply fill out an application and indicate what grade your child will be in during the coming school year. Transfer students need to submit an application and a transcript to show what high school courses they have already completed.
