Any student planning to take a summer class at IVCC should also schedule an appointment. These appointment times are being held until Feb 21st at 4 pm for St Bede students only.  After that date they will be given to students from other high schools.  See the link in your email.

• Thank you to the students, staff and faculty who donated blood or volunteered to work at the St. Bede Blood Drive on February 11th. The drive was a huge success!  Together, we collected 48 units of blood which equates to saving approximately 144 lives!

• If you are a senior planning to pursue higher education and either donated blood or volunteered, your name will be entered into the drawing for the Red Cross Scholarship, which will take place on Senior Day.  There is another chance to be entered in the drawing.  Mark your calendars -- our next blood drive is on April 29th. • The Illinois Valley YMCA is offering Lifeguard Training over Spring Break.  Must be 15 years of age.  Contact Doug Miller at the YMCA for more information.

• Yearbook club members can see the cover idea for this year's yearbook in the yearbook google classroom.  If you would like to join the final meeting with the cover artist, meet in Mrs. Griggs classroom Friday after school.

• There will be a paid Jeans Day tomorrow. Please bring $3.00 to support the social work office. No hooded or crop-top sweatshirts or tank tops. Jeans must be in good repair with no holes or rips.

• All Seniors planning to attend IVCC after graduation need to sign up to attend the IVCC campus tour. You will get to see the campus, learn how to sign up for placement testing, new student registration and course selection. Sign up asap at the link in your email.  Do not wait until the last minute to sign up. If the bus fills up you will not be able to go.

• All students and staff were sent the dress up themes for Catholic Schools Week via TeacherEase yesterday afternoon! Please reference the student government Instagram or TeacherEase announcement for more details or ask Mrs. Theisinger or any SBASG member!

• St. Bede is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Students ages 16 & 17 who are interested in giving blood must get a consent form signed by a parent or guardian to participate. Stop by the Development Office any time to pick up one of these forms OR to get signed up for the blood drive. Help us reach our goal of collecting 100 pints for the American Red Cross!

• Anyone that would like to help design the cover for the yearbook, please meet after school Tuesday in Mrs. Griggs classroom.  The cover artist will finalize the cover on Friday.

• Open gym for softball from 6-8 pm in the gym this Sunday night.

• Wizard of Oz cast, please check the cast list for updates. Rehearsal Sunday will begin at 3pm in Mrs. Griggs classroom. Please email her if you still need a script or music. Act 1 will be gone through after music review. Monday’s rehearsal is cancelled.
