  • Are you interested in playing tennis this summer? The Peru Recreational Tennis Camp runs from June 10-27 and July 8-25 at 1:00 for girls and 2:15 for boys. This program will be held at the LP Sports Complex tennis courts and is FREE for Peru residents, or $15 for non-residents. You do NOT need to be currently playing for the St. Bede team to play.

  • Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Track teams for their tremendous performances at the sectionals for the boys and the state finals for the girls. Greyson Marincic qualified for State in the 110 and the 300 hurdles and Willie Sramek received a 6th place medal in the discus. Lily Bosnich advanced to the finals in the 100 and 300 meter hurdles breaking her own school records in both events.  The 4x100 relay of Sierah Shaver, Grace Milliington, Emerald De La Torre and Lily Bosnich finished their amazing season 13th in the state. Lily will compete for a State Championship on Saturday. Go get em Lily!

  • Congratulations to All Lady Bruin Track and Field Athletes. They competed at the Bureau Valley Sectional meet last night and had a record-setting evening. Ladies were led by Lily Bosnich winning and breaking her own school records in the 100 hurdle and 300-meter hurdles, also 3rd in the 200 meters with a qualifying time, and along with Sierah Shaver Grace Millington and Emerald De La Torre finished 4th in the 4x100 with a qualifying time and will represent us at the state meet. Also, medaling was Macklin Brady who finished her high school career with a 4th-place finish in the discus. Maggie Arkins was 3rd in the 800, one place shy of qualifying for the state meet. Savannah Bray was 4th in the shot-put. Personal bests were also achieved by Emerald in the 100 meters, Kyra Finley in the long jump and 100 meters, Sara Ruiz in the 400 meters, and Emma Smudzinski in the 800 meters. As a team, we finished 8th with 48 points. Congratulations!

  • Congratulations to the boys and girls track team for their performances at the Illinois Valley Conference track meet last night. Leading the way for the boys was Greyson Marincic with a 3rd place in the 110 high hurdles and 4th place in the 300 Intermediate Hurdles, Johnnie Brown 4th place the High Jump and Max Bray 5th in the Shot Put. For the girls they were 1st in the 4 x 100 relay with Sierah Shaver, Grace Millington, Emerald De La Torre and Mackenzie Stanbary Maggie Arkins was 2nd in the 400 and teamed with Sara Ruiz, Lacy Griggs, and Mackenzie Stanbary to finish 2nd in the 4 x 400 relay. Also Macklin Brady was 3rd in the discus, Kate Duncan was 4th in the High Jump and 5th in the 200. Emma Smudzinski was 4th in the 800 and Lily Wray was 6th in the high hurdles. Next meet is Wednesday for the IHSA Sectional Finals at Bureau Valley High School.

  • Congratulations to the boys and girls track and field teams for their performances at the Tri-County Conference meet last night. Leading the way for the boys was Greyson Marincic who won the 110 High Hurdles and along with Johnnie Brown, Jack Maschmann, and Landon Marquez placed 2nd in the 4x100 relay. Greyson was also 3rd in the 300 IM hurdles. The Boys team finished 7th. For Ladies Lily Bosnich was 1st in 100-high and 300 IM hurdles and along with Emerald De La Torre, Sierah Shaver, and Grace Millington finished 2nd in the 4x100 relay. Lily was 2nd in the 200-meter dash, Savannah Bray was 2nd in the Shot Put, Macklin Brady and Libby Huffaker were 3rd and 4th in the discus. Emerald was 2nd in the 100 meters, Maggie Arkins was 6th in the 800 meters and with Emerald, Mackenzie Stanbary and Sara Ruiz were 4th in the 4x400 relay. Kate Duncan was 5th in the high jump. The Girls finished 4th as a team.

  • On Saturday our eSports team; Haiden Ator, Noah Buck, Daliayah Farris, Amy Tran, Arthur van den Berg, Julian Villava, Jason Yang competed at the IHSA State Sectional Tournament at Normal West Community High School with 19 others schools.   Our players represented St. Bede well with integrity, poise, and great sportsmanship.
