SAT Word of the Day: Metaphor- figure of speech comparing two different things.
The metaphor “a sea of troubles” suggests a lot of troubles by comparing their number to the vastness of the sea.
Candidates for Ambassador interviews have been selected! Please see the list outside Mr. Steben’s office to see who was selected. There will be a meeting during homeroom today with more information.
Thursday will be our final prayer service this Lent. We will celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. We will follow our dress code with option of Crazy Socks for $2 or more to benefit Down Syndrome. Aubree Acuncius' sister, Evelyn, and her friend Lily will be with us.
Mass and breakfast before school tomorrow. Sign-up sheet on board near Fr. Ronald's office so the will be enough food for breakfast.

Congratulations to the Varsity Softball team on their 12-3 win against Mendota last night. Shout out to Ava Balestri and Emma Slingsby on their homeruns. Keep it up girls!
Congrats to the Baseball teams for sweeping Mendota last night. Varsity won 3-1 and JV 16-4!
Congrats to the St. Bede Boys and Girls Track teams last night competing in a multi-team meet @ Annawan/Weathersfield. Boys finished 4th and Lady Bruins finished 3rd!
Leading the Boys was Logan Pineda winning the 800 meters, Greyson Marincic winning the 400m, Tom Makransky Winning the PV, also Isaiah Hart 2nd in the HJ and the 4x400 relay team of Logan, Greyson, Brody Hahn, and Hayden Arkins finished 2nd.
For the Girls, Anna Lopez won 3 events, the Long Jump and Triple Jumps, and the 100m. Also placing 1st was Macy Zeglis in the 100high hurdles. Scoring high was Macy 2nd in the 300 Intermediate hurdles, Jeanna Ladzinski 2nd in the 100 H. H. and Maggie Arkins, 3rd in the 400m. Outstanding efforts everyone!
