If you need a letter of recommendation from a teacher or your counselor, you need to personally ask them. Do not assume that they will receive an email notification and automatically complete this task without a face-to-face conversation with you. Always send a thank you note. Letters of recommendation are not easy to write and students should show their gratitude for the time teachers put into this task.
