SAT Word of the Day:

  •  None today - Worship schedule

  • Ambassadors signed up for Phone-a-Thon: there will be training on Tuesday, 3/19 during homeroom.

  • Mr. Steben would like to thank all the faculty, staff, monks, and students for their efforts during 8th Grade Shadow Days. You helped these students see why Saint Bede is WHERE YOU BELONG!

  • Sophomores interested in being an Ambassador next school year should plan to attend a homeroom meeting TOMORROW 3/15 in the Refectory.

  • St. Bede is starting a new annual day of giving on St. Benedict’s Day, March 21st.   This day honors St. Benedict, the monk who founded the Benedictine rule and tradition St. Bede’s monastic community continues to follow today.   To celebrate St. Benedict’s Day, staff, faculty and students can receive a pair of limited edition SBA socks with a $20 or more donation. Donations can be dropped off in the Development Department before March 19th.  Sport your socks with everyone on March 21st.

  • Freshman: The PSAT test is Tuesday.  Be in the gym at your seat ready to test by 7:50 am. Bring your fully charged Chromebook and charging cord, pen or pencil, approved calculator (or you can use the desmos calculator provided in the testing  app), a photo ID (this can be your school ID or driver’s license), snack and drink. All other items, including backpacks, cell phones and smartwatches should be left in your locker.  This is a regular Dennis unform dress day. You will return to lunch and your regular afternoon classes after the test. Be sure to go to bed early and eat a good breakfast so you can perform your best on the test!   • Esports members check the google classroom for information about the IHSA state series sectional competitions, or see Mr. Fess for more information about the state competitions.

  • Golfers: the Room will open today at approximately 3:30.

  • Due to the storms, Abbot Phillip Field will not be playable today, therefore today's (3/14) Varsity Softball game vs Rock Island Alleman has been canceled.  No reschedule date at this time. Varsity SB will practice from 4:45-6:15pm in the gym.  JV will practice in the gym beginning at 3:15pm.

  • Color & Chill today after school in the PSC.
